Arsenal Contemporary Art celebrates its 15th anniversary with a group exhibition drawn entirely from Collection Majudia, a collection assembled by Montreal collectors and spanning figurative and abstract painting, sculpture, ceramics, video, and mixed-media installation. About To celebrate 15 years of operation, Arsenal Contemporary Art will open a group exhibition. Arsenal Contemporary Art will celebrate its 15th anniversary with a group exhibition drawn entirely from Collection Majudia, assembled by Montreal collectors Anne-Marie and Pierre Trahan. The Trahans founded Arsenal in Montreal in 2011 and opened its New York location in 2017 to present contemporary Canadian art in an international context. To mark the anniversary of this cross-border undertaking, the exhibition brings together works from artists based in the USA, and acquired mainly from galleries located in America, or from international fairs and auction houses. Spanning figurative and abstract painting, sculpture, ceramics, video, and mixed-media installation, the exhibition reflects the breadth of the couple's collecting interests and their sustained engagement with artists over the past fifteen years. Featured artists include Claire Tabouret, Cynthia Daignault, Kathleen Ryan, Mickalene Thomas, Tala Madani, Robert Nava, Emily Mae Smith, and Chloe Wise, among others, with women artists prominently represented.
