RegisterSpectral Interference presents new paintings by Anna Liber Lewis at Saatchi Gallery, embracing abstraction as risk and release, where structure fractures into visceral, embodied colour.
Spectral Interference is a major solo exhibition of new paintings by London-based artist Anna Liber Lewis at Saatchi Gallery, presented by Hannah Payne Art. Marking a decisive shift from her earlier grid-based works, the exhibition embraces abstraction as a site of risk, embodiment and perceptual instability. Across canvases of varying scale, structure remains but is softened, disrupted and pushed to breaking point. Surfaces are scraped back, reworked and reactivated, reflecting a process of continual revision and release. The resulting paintings are visceral and luminous, holding tension between control and surrender, gesture and memory.
