RSVPThe exhibition explores the human body as a medium of expression and memory, covering themes such as birth, sexuality, ageing, illness, and death. Featuring 17 women artists based in Berlin, it challenges social norms and celebrates physical diversity through sculpture, drawing, and performance. About Bodies that Speak is a profound group exhibition that positions the human body as an active tool, medium, and carrier of memory rather than a passive subject. Staged across 20 rooms at HAUS. KUNST. MITTE. in Berlin, the exhibition is organized into five thematic chapters: Imaginary Body Worlds: Explores the inner landscapes, dreams, and psychological dimensions of physical existence. Life and Nature: Examines the body's deep, organic connection to the environment, natural cycles, and the earth. Social Pressures: Confronts how societal norms, gender expectations, and political structures attempt to shape, control, and restrict our physical forms. Vulnerability and Mortality: Details the raw realities of the human lifecycle, focusing on birth, sexuality, illness, ageing, and death. Hybrid Boundaries: Explores the blending of the human form with technology, machinery, or non-human entities, pushing the limits of what a body can be.
