Bosnia-Herzegovina Pavilion 2026: Domus Diasporica

Bosnia and Herzegovina will participate in the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia (Biennale Arte 2026) with the project Domus Diasporica by artist Mladen Bundalo, to be exhibited at Palazzo Malipiero, San Marco 3198. About This major project enables the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska, as the pavilion organiser, to ensure the continuity of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s institutional participation in the International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia. After launching an initiative in 2013 to secure the sustained presentation of artists from Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Biennale Arte, the exhibitions of the Pavilion of Bosnia and Herzegovina were successfully realized in 2013, 2017, 2019, and 2024. This year’s project continues the presentation of artists from Republic of Srpska, who, following their appearances in 2013 and 2017, will once again be presented in the Palazzo Malipiero in Venice. The participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina at Biennale Arte 2026 has been made possible through the backing of the relevant ministries. The project is officially supported by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Srpska, reaffirming the importance of participation in this major art event within the broader context of international cultural collaboration and diplomacy.
