About event

Leah Wood’s Last Days of Paradise: Botanicals in Colour brings tropical foliage and lush botanical forms to Pavilion, Knightsbridge, from 15th October to 15th November 2026. Through an exuberant palette, Leah celebrates the beauty of the natural world while reflecting on its fragility. About Colour, conservation and the natural world meet in Last Days of Paradise: Botanicals in Colour , a new exhibition by Leah Wood at Pavilion, Knightsbridge. Tropical foliage, abundant vegetation and saturated colour fill a collection inspired by Leah's enduring connection to nature. With a playful nod to David Hockney’s fearless palette, the paintings celebrate the pleasure of being surrounded by plants. Their warmth and exuberance sit alongside the quieter tension of the exhibition’s title: these visions of paradise invite us to consider what we stand to lose. Leah's practice spans oils, acrylics, watercolour and mixed media, with landscapes, plants and endangered wildlife recurring throughout her work. Life in the English countryside provides a continuing source of inspiration, from daily walks to the changing colours of trees and blossom. Environmental advocacy is central to her practice. An ambassador for rainforest charity Cool Earth, Leah has also supported organisations including Born Free, Save the Elephants and the Wild at Heart Foundation. Her conservation projects include co-curating One Planet, One Chance in 2022 and creating a portrait of Woburn Safari Park’s Amur tiger to support the WildCats Conservation Alliance. In Last Days of Paradise , these concerns find expression through botanical forms and colour. The paintings invite visitors to enjoy the richness of the natural world, look more closely at their surroundings and reflect on the habitats that inspire them. The exhibition runs from 15th October to 15th November 2026. The opening evening includes a panel discussion with Leah Wood exploring the collection, its influences and our changing relationship with nature. Read more Toggle Painting Mixed media Drawing
