RSVPFilm photographs by Eugenia Brodsky about growing up and the moment innocence begins to shift. Opening reception Nov 13, 5–8 PM. Free. About Chrysanthemum is a solo photography exhibition by visual artist Eugenia Brodsky at WRFAC Gallery (Walter Redondo Fine Art Collection). Shot on film, the series brings together cinematic, atmospheric photographs: portraits of the artist's children and dreamlike scenes, alongside landscapes and still lifes. The title comes from a haiku by Yosa Buson: "Before the white chrysanthemum the scissors hesitate a moment." In that moment of hesitation, even death pauses before the beauty of life. At its center is the artist's eldest son on the threshold of adolescence, and that delicate moment when innocence begins to shift and time holds its breath. Opening reception: Friday, November 13, 5–8 PM. Hours: Sat–Sun, Nov 14–15, 12–5 PM; Mon, Nov 16, by appointment; Tue–Wed, Nov 17–18, 4–8 PM. All exhibited works are available for purchase. Free admission. Read more Toggle Photography
