Contemporary Art Festival 2026 in Ruse explores “SPACE” through visual arts, performance, and interdisciplinary projects, turning the city into a laboratory for experimental creativity.

Ruse comes alive with the 2026 Contemporary Art Festival “SPACE” (May 15 – June 15), transforming the city into a playground for bold artistic experiments. Ruse Art Gallery invites artists, collectives, and interdisciplinary creators to submit works across painting, sculpture, installation, video art, new media, performance, and sound art. Following previous editions featuring Georgi Ruzhev and Boris Labe, this year’s festival bridges local heritage with global contemporary practices. A professional jury, including Eliza Kaloshi and Rositsa Getsova, will select 10 standout projects that push boundaries and explore the theme of space . Funded by the National Culture Fund ( Национален фонд „Култура“ ), the festival ensures top-quality presentation and public engagement, positioning Ruse as a vibrant hub for contemporary art.
