Dream a Little Dream

Future FWD Gallery presents Erik Foss’s "Dream a Little Dream", opening September 23 at 378 Broome Street. About In Dream a Little Dream, Erik Foss explores the elusive nature of memory through a series of dreamlike paintings that blur the boundaries between nostalgia and popular culture. Using airbrush and acrylic paint, Foss creates hazy, atmospheric portraits of familiar characters from Fraggle Rock, juxtaposed with sharply rendered, hand-painted stickers depicting iconic figures such as Garfield, SpongeBob, and Tony the Tiger. Through these playful yet evocative compositions, Foss reflects on the imagery that shapes our collective childhood memories and the ways in which familiar cultural symbols endure, transform, and fade over time.
