Time is a universally prevailing pressure. One that every living organism has to process and be processed by. It is fleeting and uniquely understood, while its ability to be ever-present makes it common. In its contradictory simplicity, Time can be perceived as sublime. Especially when appreciated through the right lens—and perspective takes time. The irony of the process is as self-serving as time. The fact that there is no real uniqueness to the passing of hours makes it a great unifier. A leveler. The most exciting potential perpetually clearing itself. This void felt important to try and fill, if only for a moment. Here, with On Time, artists have been asked to try and capture time. Or a moment. It is a reminder that no matter how far apart we are, we are here together. All occupying this now. Or what was now, but not quite then. Each artist has brought their relationship with time to the table for this show. There is a vast variation in approach and perception. Some sought to capture time with reverence, comedy, play, sentimentality, etc. Each perspective is unique and attempts to understand something so simply complex. Take your time, take a look, and don’t forget to breathe. The world is a messy place, and it's good to take a moment to remember we are all here now.
