Emily Masser is a jazz singer from Wigan, currently studying at London’s Guildhall School of Music. A former student of the renowned Chetham’s School of Music, she also received invaluable mentorship from her father, respected saxophonist Dean Masser. Emily’s breakthrough came with the release of Songs With My Father, an album dedicated to her late mother, showcasing her arrangements and vocals. The record features pianist Matyas Gayer, bassist James Owston, and drummer Steve Brown, and highlights modern interpretations of jazz standards alongside her approach to bebop and vocalese. In high demand, Emily has appeared at leading UK jazz festivals and clubs, such as Buxton International Festival, Brecon Jazz Festival, Swanage Jazz Festival, Scarborough Jazz Festival, Southport Jazz Festival, and Pizza Express Jazz Club, earning recognition as “A new star of British jazz”.
