Exhibition "Hörtnagl und Harm" | Galerie Verve

A two-artist exhibition featuring Dinara Hörtnagl and Enrique Harm at Galerie Verve in Vienna's 8th district About Dinara Hörtnagl grew up in Saint Petersburg. In her artistic practice, she combines painting and graphic art and explores the city as a place of memory, change, and human traces. Architecture, facades, windows, signs, and urban fragments become open images that straddle the line between a specific place and an imagined landscape. Enrique Harm’s works emerge from a direct relationship with the tropical urban landscape. Houses, streets, facades, and architectural structures appear as settings that arise from memory, observation, and imagination. Color and composition draw on certain traditions of popular art from the Colombian Caribbean, which Harm takes up and reinterprets through a style of painting with a seemingly naive, frontal, and narrative effect.
