Fabric Works

Living Content presents Fabric Works, an exhibition developed through two artist residencies at the Invictus textile factory in Galați. About The exhibition brings together new works by Iulia Toma, Aurora Király, Anca Dima, Loredana Ilie, Lea Rasovszky, Giulia Crețulescu, Otto Constantin, Thea Lazăr, and STOL collective. Working within the rhythms and material conditions of the factory, the artists selected textiles from its deadstock and transformed them into new works. Fabric Works considers what remains after production and what these materials continue to carry: traces of labor, industrial processes, and the people whose work sustains them. Bringing ecology into dialogue with women's labor and Galați's industrial memory, the exhibition asks how discarded materials can re-enter circulation, acquire new meanings, and make visible the systems from which they emerged.
