About event

ART EXPO MILANO - Milano Fiera Internationale D'Arte Contemporanea - celebrates contemporary arts in the center of Europe, hyper accessible, with an international reputation for artists, designers and art collectors.

AHC PROJECTS HAMBURG is pleased to participate in the upcoming exhibition at ART EXPO MILANO, the International Contemporary Art Fair Milan, taking place April 10–12, 2026. “We are delighted,” explains Dr. Barbara Aust-Wegemund, art curator, “to be part of Milano Art Month and to present a selection of new works created especially for this occasion.” The presentation features the visual artists Christa Anneken, Nicole Guida, Bastian Oldhouse, and Imelda Steiger, whose works have been carefully chosen for this exhibition and art fair. www.ahc-projects.net PARTICIPATING ARTISTS BASTIAN OLDHOUSE ART INVESTOR'S CHOICE - 600 MASTERWORKS FROM A LIVING ARTIST With his unique, surreal, and emotionally energized paintings, Bastian Oldhouse has been invited to present his work in Milan. The artist from Biel, Switzerland, has created an extensive oeuvre of more than 600 works, including large-format paintings, video productions, and installations. His practice is marked by philosophical themes, symbolic imagery, and a profound emotional depth that invites reflection on the human condition. One of the central works on view, Firewall , captivates through its powerful symbolism. A child appears to be running toward a boundary—a “firewall” in both a literal and metaphorical sense. The burning horizon line gives the painting its haunting intensity, while a chalk-drawn game pattern on the ground signals a decisive moment: the game is over. In a rare and exceptional step, the artist is offering his complete body of work—around 600 pieces—for acquisition. This art collection presents a unique opportunity for collectors, institutions, and investors to acquire a substantial and cohesive portfolio from a single artist—an uncommon and unique prospect within the contemporary art market. IMELDA STEIGER - ATMOSPHERIC PAINTINGS, EMOTIONAL RESONANCE Imelda Steiger presents a series of abstract landscapes inspired by the natural environment of her artist studio in Switzerland. In these works, Steiger translates impressions of nature, light, and atmosphere into expressive compositions that move between abstraction and landscape memory. Rather than depicting specific places, her paintings evoke the emotional resonance of vast spaces and shifting horizons. Through layered colors, fluid structures, and dynamic textures, Imelda Steiger creates atmospheric images that reflect the rhythm and energy of the natural world. Her abstract landscapes invite viewers to experience nature not as a fixed view, but as a sensory and contemplative space. NICOLE GUIDA - VISUAL STATEMENTS, VIBRANT COLORS With her latest series presented in Milan, Nicole Guida combines vibrant abstract color fields with poetic text fragments, creating works that radiate energy, optimism, and emotional resonance. Whether in “Ombre di Luce” (Shadow of Light) or “Insieme” (Together), Guida explores the dialogue between color, language, and feeling, allowing words and painterly gestures to merge into expressive visual statements. Her compositions celebrate the joy of life through luminous palettes, layered textures, and dynamic forms. The interplay between abstract painting and poetic elements invites viewers to engage both visually and emotionally with the works. CHRISTA ANNEKEN - CLASSICAL STILL LIFE, MODERN STYLE The visual artist Christa Anneken presents a series of contemporary still lifes at the Milan Art Expo this April. In her work, Anneken revisits the classical still-life tradition through a modern visual language that emphasizes quiet observation, subtle composition, and the poetic presence of everyday objects. Her paintings explore the dialogue between light, surface, and form, inviting viewers to pause and rediscover the expressive potential of the ordinary. By combining refined color harmonies with carefully staged arrangements, Anneken creates images that balance serenity and intensity. The work series ("Hidden Treasures") on view in Milan reflect her ongoing interest in perception, materiality, and the timeless relationship between objects and space. LOCATION MILAN The international contemporary art fair takes place in the exhibition park "Parco Esposizioni Novegro", since many years the primary exhibition expert. Promoted by the City of Milan, the art month celebrates several art events, gallery and museums openings across the city.
