About Art Textiles: Made in Britain is a premier nationwide collective of artists, united by a passion for evolving and promoting the landscape of British textile art. Established in 2013, the group has become known for its biennial themed exhibitions that push the boundaries of the medium. Following successful openings in Kent and Somerset, their latest touring exhibition, "Flight," arrives at Mandell’s Gallery in Norwich. In this evocative showcase, eleven members of the group respond to the concept of flight through a diverse range of lenses. The works explore the ethereal and the industrial—from the organic grace of murmurating birds and propelling dandelion seeds to the mythic power of winged beasts and the geometry of airline travel. Visitors will experience an exhibition experimenting with modern textile practice, featuring an array of sophisticated techniques.
