Gillian Haigh. The Difference Is Spreading

Cevera Yoon Gallery is pleased to present The Difference Is Spreading by Gillian Haigh. About Grounded in painting and extending through drawing, sculpture, and installation, Haigh’s work considers how bodies and spaces are made visible, legible, and knowable. Her recent work draws from the visual and spatial languages of scientific illustration, museology, and architecture, examining systems of framing, classification, and display. Through bodily forms, constructed supports, and altered architectures, she explores the unstable boundary between observation and interpretation, and the ways structures for looking can also shape what is seen. Gillian Haigh (b. Calgary, Alberta) is a Canadian artist based in Los Angeles. She holds an MFA from UCLA and a BFA from Emily Carr University of Art + Design. Her work has been exhibited across Canada and the United States, including at New Whyte Gallery, Los Angeles (2026); Kita Gallery, Los Angeles (2025); LABEAST, Los Angeles (2024); Monica Reyes Gallery, Vancouver (2023); and the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity (2022).
