RegisterOut of the ruins and rubble, a beautiful city can be built. With an electric 70s rock score by Steven Schwartz, and book by John-Michael Tebelak, ‘Godspell’ is about building hope and community out of a broken world. Centring on the parabolic teachings of Jesus from the Gospel of Matthew, a band of nine individuals recovering from a world-devastating pandemic learn to live as a functional community. As the story progresses, so too does the whimsy and joy found in each moment; out of the ruins and rubble, a beautiful city can be built. We note that our Saturday matinee production will be a relaxed performance, with reduced sound levels, less severe lighting effects and dimmed lights, rather than full blackouts. We will also have captioning for each performance throughout the season.
