Memory does not preserve. It piles up. It breaks, remakes itself, and breaks again. Lived experience makes peace with its own weight, just as walking is falling and being caught in time. Collapse stops being an accident and becomes a dance. This idea runs through u nder the debris , a series that approaches memory not as an archive but as a material in continuous fall. Something comes loose, recomposes itself, and comes loose again without ever fully settling. Without realizing it, we always stand upon this continuous recomposition. The works in this series share that condition from the outset. Gozo works with early Stable Diffusion models, running locally on his own machine, in which accumulated images return as a kind of degraded collective memory, imprecise and full of artifacts. From this material, already slowly collapsing, he generates images at low resolution, full of imperfections and unstable forms, then animates them, using the very limitations of these models to shape textures and movement. The artist fragments the images, discards most of them, and recomposes what remains into a collage of textures and contours that never quite resolve into a defined image, while the seams between the fragments gradually disappear. Pixels and artifacts become the raw material of each piece, and meaning arises through the process. The final image is never solid. It always seems on the verge of dissolving.
