Guided Tour: Gabriela Machado – Lá no alto do sol

Gabriela Machado presents Lá no alto do sol, a solo exhibition of large and medium drawings exploring organic motifs through spontaneous, energetic brushwork and luminous colour. About 3+1 Contemporary Art is pleased to announce Lá no alto do sol (High up in the sun), the latest solo exhibition by Gabriela Machado (Joinville, Brazil, 1960) at the gallery. Gabriela Machado draws inspiration from everyday landscapes, in a harmonious, almost symbiotic, relationship with the nature and environment around her. Working with painting, sculpture and drawing, the artist creates works with organic motifs that take shape through the use of intense brushstrokes, luminous colours and contrasting scales.
