About event

Kara Wilson’s new play celebrates the Lancashire painter Helen Bradley MBE (1900-1979), internationally acclaimed and collected to this day. Privileged to work with the artist's family, Kara has written this one-woman show on Helen Bradley whom she first came across in the 1970s when she bought Helen's first book 'And Miss Carter Wore Pink' for her daughter Nina. A wonderful evocation of an Edwardian childhood. This naive painter's work is much sought after to this day and regularly sells for five figure sums.
