About event

Huella: an eco-poetic and post natural danced installation-performance tracing a waterfall’s memory About At the edge of ecological collapse, Huella unfolds around an ambiguous waterfall carrying water’s memory, as new geologies emerge. Through eco-poetic symbolism, an installation-performance of textural and flamenco soundscapes traverses dissonant yet porous, solastalgic bodies and landscapes, entangled in the waterfall’s trace. The waterfall is a more-than-human witness and archive, whose memory holds traces of play, intimacy, human contradiction, animal passages, altered ecologies and persistent materials settling into new geologies. Folding past, altered present and future archive into one another, it makes human dissonance, loss and entanglement with a changing living world perceptible through what it carries. Huella emerges from the lived tension of perceiving ecological alteration while inhabiting everyday life, resonating with solastalgia. Lorca’s Poeta en Nueva York , Suites and Libro de poemas are undercurrents. Huella is premiering on November 8th at the Cockpit as part of Voila! Festival - performance link: https://www.voilafestival.co.uk/events/huella/ About the artist: Isadora is a French-Tunisian-British artist and researcher working across movement, performance and installation. Her research is engaging towards feminities, as well as ecological transformations, sensing and engaging both human and more-than-human experiences. She also investigates costume and objects as extensions of the self, approaching them as spaces of metamorphosis. She is also a Vogue performer and member of the Iconic House of Milan (as Isadora Milan). Her movement language draws from club culture forms (Arms Control and New Way Vogue), alongside somatics-based improvisation and flamenco aesthetics. https://www.isadora-movement.com/ Read more Toggle Performance / Live Art
