Through movement, projected p()rnographic imagery, and spoken word, the piece uses a post-p()rnographic lens to question how we see bodies, power, and desire—where the body becomes both protest and poetry. At its core? The butthole, offered here not for shock, but as a site of vulnerability, humour, and radical honesty. This solo gently unravels the defences we build around love and intimacy. It offers a space to feel, to witness, and maybe to rethink what it means to be seen. Between Heart and Hole is an invitation to question not only p()rn, but how we love and protect ourselves. It gently asks the audience to sit with discomfort and maybe see a reflection of themselves in it. Trained at Codarts, University for the Arts in Rotterdam, they danced with TanzLuzernerTheater and Stadttheater Giessen before moving into freelancing and collaborating with artists such as Maura Morales and Yotam Peled. Their interdisciplinary work, supported by #TakeHeart and DisTanzSolo, focuses on intermedia representations of queer bodies, exploring intimacy and the biological-digital articulation of the body. This research led to works such as Goodbye Porn and HOTline. Their latest work, Between Heart and Hole, premiered at Frascati Theatre in Amsterdam in September 2025. They also teach contemporary dance practice and choreograph across Europe in institutions like Codarts, Iwanson (school for contemporary dance Munich) and SEAD (Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance) and direct productions within the Dutch collectives Teddy’s Last Ride and SuckerPunch collective since 2020.
