RSVPKoktel is a new body of work by Yalda Sepahpour centered around her fully illustrated Farsi language cocktail recipe book. More than two years in the making, it brings together drawings, paintings, and recipes inspired by Iranian flavors. About Koktel is a new body of work by Iranian artist Yalda Sepahpour, centered around the release of her fully illustrated Farsi-language cocktail recipe book, Koktel: Mixology Inspired by Iranian, West Asian, and Eastern Mediterranean Flavors . More than two years in the making, the project brings together Sepahpour’s distinctive drawings with a collection of cocktail recipes inspired by Iranian, West Asian, and Eastern Mediterranean flavors. The book explores the intersection of art, culture, memory, language, and the ritual of gathering, transforming the familiar cocktail into a vehicle for storytelling and cultural connection. The exhibition extends beyond the book to introduce a new collection of large-scale paintings, furniture pieces, ceramics, and bar-inspired objects. Together, the works create an immersive environment where visual art and hospitality meet, inviting audiences to experience Sepahpour’s work through both visual and sensory forms. At the center of the project is the idea of gathering. Drawing from cultural traditions in which food, drink, conversation, and storytelling create spaces of connection, Koktel brings these rituals into a contemporary artistic context. Sepahpour’s drawings and paintings create a visual language around the figures, symbols, and cultural references that inform the project, while the recipes introduce another sensory layer through flavor and shared experience. The exhibition marks the release of the Koktel book and presents the project as a multidimensional body of work, bringing together image, language, material, taste, and social ritual. The exhibition will be on view October 3 through November 3, 2026, at 2270 Venice Blvd., Los Angeles, CA, and will be open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM. The exhibition opens with an Opening Night Party on Saturday, October 3 from 7–11 PM, celebrating the release of Koktel . Guests will have the opportunity to experience the new works and enjoy cocktails from the book. Read more Toggle Mixed media Sculpture Painting Drawing
