Join us for the opening of Kristina Snook’s Incantations exhibitions at Textile Art Gallery NYC Saturday, November 3 from 3 - 5 pm. About Kristina Snook: Incantations For Kristina Snook, working with fabric is a personal ritual. Her intuitive process involves arranging elements until they hold the weight of the moment. As she works, she becomes absorbed in the transformation of feeling into form. In these quilts, stitching becomes much like an incantation or a spell: an act of turning intention into reality. Each piece creates a place of refuge that contains and celebrates the chaos of an inevitable journey of transformation. As the work takes form, it becomes an incantation for repair and renewal.
