RSVPHošek Contemporary presents ‘Modal States: Urban Metabolism’, a project by Leon Eckard. About Exhibition: 6.11.2026 – 15.11.2026 Opening concert with Özcan Ertek and Leon Eckard: 6.11.2026 Closing concert with Francesca Remigi and Jena Jang: 13.11.2026 Workshop: 14.11.2026 + 15.11.2026 Modal States: Urban Metabolism is a series of autonomous feedback objects constructed from urban fragments, exhibited on the former coal freighter "MS Heimatland." The three objects, made of metal, glass, and wood are driven into a state of continuous feedback through the use of piezo microphones, strings, transducers, and algorithmic control. Through this coupling, the objects expand their resonant modes and become a complex system of material, tension, algorithmic process, and human intervention. The work investigates the relationship between the human and the systems we create: Where does autonomy begin and where does control end? At what point do human-made objects acquire their own dynamics, and how does new meaning emerge through this process? The installation is accompanied by two concerts featuring Özcan Ertek, Leon Eckard, Francesca Remigi, and Jena Jang, as well as a workshop on feedback instruments. Funded by Musikfonds e.V. by means of the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media. https://leoneckard.com/ The gallery is located at Motor Ship HEIMATLAND Märkisches Ufer 1z 10 179 Berlin-Mitte +49 1525 7486496 www.hosekcontemporary.com Read more Toggle Performance / Live Art Audio / Sound Multi-disciplinary Mixed media
