RegisterHosted at Cass Art Kingston| Explore Lino Printing with artist Eva Merendes Lino Printing: William Morris Inspired In this printing class, you’ll explore the beautiful and expressive world of lino printing, taking inspiration from William Morris intricate patterns and designs. You’ll begin by learning the fundamentals of carving, inking, and printing, using mark making techniques as a starting point. You’ll create your own unique interpretation of the chosen design that you can take home at the end! A pre-drawn outline will be provided, allowing you to focus on the mindful, meditative process of carving. For those who feel adventurous, there’s also the option to adapt or redesign the composition in your own creative way. The carving process is calm and rhythmic, while the inking and printing stage brings energy and excitement as your image comes to life on paper. By the end of the class, you’ll have up to 5 prints of your finished design to take home - perfect to frame or gift! New to lino printing? This workshop is suitable for complete beginners and experienced printmakers alike. Whether you join on your own or with a friend, it’s a fun and inspiring way to spend your time creatively. All materials will be provided. Please bring your own apron or wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little inky! You’re welcome to BYOB and enjoy your hot or cold drink while you print.
