Live Podcast Event with ATMOM & Special Guests in Austin, Texas

Join ATMOM for a live podcast, documentary screening, panel, and an amazing one-woman performance. A day for adoptees and supporters! Friday evening, April 17th , Kristal Parke will screen her powerful documentary, Because She's Adopted , at the Dougherty Arts Center & Zilker Hillside Theater. This will begin at 6:00 PM. After, we’ll gather for food and connection nearby - it will be a wonderful and intimate setting. We would be thrilled if you could join us for dinner. While everyone will be covering their own meal costs, your presence makes it so special for us and everyone to connect. Thank you. :) Saturday, April 18th, Damon Davis of the Who Am I Really ? podcast will be kicking things off as the day's emcee and moderator! We will begin in the morning, starting at 10:00 AM and ending by 3:00 PM. The day will include: Photographs of Adoptees by Jeff Forney of The Innocent People Project . A Live Podcast with Sarah & Louise with special guest, Virginia McQueen, Attachment-based CPTSD Therapist. A panel discussion featuring adoptees and adoption-informed leaders, including Gregory Luce of the Adoptee Rights Law Center; Linda Pevac/ Emma Stevens, author; Dr. Abby Hasberry, author and therapist; Chris Stearns, Washington State Legislature Representative (47th District); Patricia Knight Meyer, author; Tony Corsentino, writer; and Juliet Rubin Ramirez, CFO Adoptee Mentoring Society and Mark Diebel, Episcopal Priest and Adoptee Advocate for change. We’ll conclude the day with the incredibly moving one-woman performance of Un-M-Othered by Dr. Liz DeBetta. Note : After a late afternoon break, we will gather at a local dining spot on Saturday n ight . Once again, Everyone will cover their own costs for dinner.
