About event

Local News Legend (Harrisburg, PA) and Mother's Day Rogers (Seattle, WA) stop by Healer on 5/11/26. DOORS AT 7 / MUSIC AT 7:30 / ALL AGES / $15 ADV / $18 DOS Local News Legend (Harrisburg, PA) : Gentle but fierce folk punk tunes from Cental, PA duo Emily Del Rio & April Hartman. Emily has been releasing songs under the moniker Local News Legend since 2017. Her songs quickly gained attention from the folk punk scene on YouTube and in Facebook groups where she linked up with bandmate April Hartman to fill out her sound on the banjo. Dubbing their sound “soft-core folk punk,” they embrace the tender more emotional side of the genre, tackling tough topics like mental health, addiction, leftist politics, love, & heartbreak. Their shows are as much a display of comical banter between friends as they are a demonstration of heartfelt musical performance. Their latest release “Criterion of Embarassment” is their first full length full band album since 2019, and perfectly showcases Emily’s maturation in songwriting while maintaining true to their stripped down roots. localnewslegend.bandcamp.com Mother's Day Rogers (Seattle, WA) : Folk Punk mothersdayrogers.bandcamp.com Local support TBA
