RSVPAn Exhibition of the paintings of Angela D'Silva, exploring moonlit meditations and our sacred connection to nature. About Moon Sanctum is a body of work that unfolds as a meditative journey into a moonlit woodland, both a sanctuary and a living presence. These paintings arise from quiet inner exploration, where images surface slowly and intuitively, shaped by stillness rather than intention. The forest revealed here is not observed from the outside, but entered, as one might enter a sacred space. The moon remains a constant witness. Its light moves gently through the darkness, revealing fragments rather than certainties: a pool of water holding silver reflection, a path dissolving into shadow, trees standing as ancient guardians. Sacred pools gather moonlight and memory, suggesting places of pause, ritual, and reflection where the boundary between the visible and unseen feels permeable. Darkness within this work is not empty or threatening, but alive and attentive. Shadow protects as much as it conceals, allowing forms to emerge gradually, echoing the rhythm of meditation itself. The forest seems to listen as much as it reveals, retaining its mystery and sovereignty. Moon Sanctum invites the viewer to slow down and enter the nocturnal landscape with reverence. It is an offering of quiet and attention, an acknowledgement of the sacredness of night, the watchful presence of the moon, and the deep stillness that exists within the forest and within ourselves. — Angela D’Silva Read more Toggle Painting
