RSVPMr. Brainwash has published a new edition which is available at FRANK FLUEGEL GALERIE. About Nuremberg/Kitzbühel/Los Angeles, July 2026. Thanks to its long-standing collaboration with the globally renowned street artist Mr. Brainwash, FRANK FLUEGEL GALERIE regularly receives new artworks from Los Angeles, directly from the artist’s studio. The “New York or Nowhere” edition has just arrived at the gallery. Of course, these one-of-a-kind pieces come with the well-known certificate of authenticity. MR. BRAINWASH New York or Nowhere, 2026 11-color silkscreen print on paper with hand-torn edges 61 x 121.9 cm / 24 x 48 inches. Hand-signed, numbered, stamped with a thumbprint on the reverse, and dated Edition: 64 With certificate of authenticity. Mr. Brainwash returns with “New York or Nowhere” (2026), an exclusive new release honoring the city that never sleeps. The title of the work perfectly complements the subway car rushing past the Manhattan skyline. A graffiti-adorned train is decorated with Mr. Brainwash’s iconic motifs, including Einstein with the slogan “Love is the Answer,” the Statue of Liberty, and Charlie Chaplin, as well as recurring slogans that serve as leitmotifs throughout his body of work: “SMILE,” “Never Never Give Up,” and the artist’s trademark “LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL.” This vibrant 11-color silkscreen print on paper, produced in a limited edition of only 64 copies, embodies the artist’s signature blend of pop culture, street art, and optimism. Each print features untrimmed edges, is signed by the artist, numbered, stamped with a thumbprint, dated, and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Since 2012, Frank Fluegel Gallery has represented the artist Mr. Brainwash, whose real name is Thierry Guetta, in German-speaking countries. Following the auction record set in London for a Banksy painting at Sotheby’s in 2019, street art is increasingly coming into the spotlight among international collectors. Rapidly rising prices and high demand are the inevitable result. Born in 1966 as Thierry Guetta in Garges-les-Gonesse near Paris, the artist has lived in Los Angeles since the age of 15. That’s why the first Mr. Brainwash exhibition, *Life is Beautiful*, took place in Los Angeles in 2008. It quickly became a crowd-pleaser, attracting more than 50,000 visitors. In 2009, singer Madonna commissioned Mr. Brainwash to design the cover for her album *Celebration*. His breakthrough came in 2010: Mr. Brainwash became world-famous through the multi-award-winning and Oscar-nominated documentary *Exit Through the Gift Shop*, in which he accompanied his friend and street art legend Banksy at work. This also brought him into the street art scene, and he began creating art. From that point on, Mr. Brainwash was a phenomenon, a superstar who conquered the art world in record time. In February 2010, his second exhibition, *Life Is Beautiful: Icons*, opened in New York in a 1,400-square-meter space and sold out completely within a few days. Numerous exhibitions followed in England, Germany, France, and most recently in Seoul. A lengthy interview has just been published in the Paris Match. From December 2022 to February 2026, Beverly Hills even had its own Mr. Brainwash Art Museum, which quickly became a major tourist attraction. Since 2012, FRANK FLUEGEL GALERIE has organized numerous solo shows and exhibitions featuring Mr. Brainwash at its gallery spaces in Nuremberg, as well as in Kitzbühel, Sylt, and Dubai. In the winter of 2025/2026, unique mixed-media works will once again be on display in Kitzbühel, Austria. The exhibitions consistently sold out within a short time. Using stencils, stencil graffiti, screen prints, and pop culture motifs in the style of Warhol, the artist has brought urban art from the streets into the living room, fusing the two art forms. The surprising works blend garish colors in every possible combination with content that is sometimes controversial. The pieces are executed in mixed media using spray paint, painting, and collage techniques, and enriched with ironic allusions that often conceal a political or social message. To this day, Mr. Brainwash remains one of the best-selling artists of our time, alongside Andy Warhol and Picasso. In addition to the U.S., Europe, and Korea, Mr. Brainwash has also held numerous exhibitions in London, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Japan, and Canada. Original works by Mr. Brainwash are even available on cruise ships operated by AIDA Cruises, Explora Journeys, and on the famous ships of the Cunard Line, such as the Queen Mary and the Queen Elizabeth.
