A Group Exhibition curated by Sir Paul Smith About ‘ Inspiration is everywhere. It could be taking photographs through a viewfinder, which teaches you to look. It could be finding inspiration in texture…it could be a Matisse painting, a movie, often it's an artist. It’s all there if you want it. ’ – Sir Paul Smith. If art has played a key role in the brand’s accomplishments, Sir Paul has most certainly returned the favour. For over 30 years, Sir Paul and his wife, Lady Pauline, have funded a scholarship for students at the Royal Academy schools. Additionally, through the establishment of Paul Smith’s Foundation, Sir Paul has sought to provide emerging artists with a platform to showcase their work to a wider audience. With his discerning eye for emerging talent, Sir Paul Smith curates New Lines , bringing together recent MA graduates from The Royal Academy Schools, The Royal College of Art, and The Slade School of Fine Art. Centred on painting and sculpture, the exhibition presents a diverse range of experimental and materially engaged practices, capturing the breadth, ambition, and vitality of contemporary art, whilst offering a platform for some of the most compelling new voices emerging today. Artists Include: Isaac Andrews, Lakshya Bhargava, Paula Rae Grundy, Anna Kurkova, Jozef Michalski, Robert O’Leary, Marina Porta Perera, and Ajea Zahid.
