RSVPA Sense of Home: New Zealand Artists in London Unite for Inaugural Exhibition About London, UK — For many New Zealand artists living abroad, distance from Aotearoa can bring a quiet sense of disconnection. The humour, language, and ease of connection that come with home are often what’s missed most. NZ Art Club, founded by London-based New Zealand artist Luana Asiata, has been created in response—offering a space for Kiwi artists to come together, connect, and feel a little closer to home. “Being away from New Zealand, you realise how much of your identity is tied to that sense of community,” says Asiata. “We spend so much time working on our own as artists, and when you’re overseas, that isolation can feel even stronger. I wanted to create something that brings us back together—where you can hear the accent, share stories, and just feel understood.” The collective launches with its inaugural group exhibition, curated by Asiata in collaboration with ZURU, bringing together New Zealand artists living and working across the UK. The exhibition features a diverse range of painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, and drawing. Presented in partnership with ZURU—a New Zealand-founded, globally operating company built on creativity and innovation—the exhibition reflects a shared belief that creativity begins with play. As children, we start with toys; as artists, that same spirit continues through paint, brushes, clay, paper, and the camera. Event Details: Private View: 24 September, 6–9pm Location: Ten Four LDN, Angel, London Free and open to all, the exhibition is an invitation to reconnect, share stories, and find a sense of home away from home. Guests are welcome to register via Eventbrite, though tickets are not essential. Read more Toggle Crafts Drawing Photography Mixed media Prints Painting Sculpture Digital
