Off the Wall

Off The Wall is Irina Prentice’s first solo exhibition with Harlow Art Trust at the Gibberd Gallery. She explores walls and bricks through sculpture, asking what materials reveal when reassembled. About Off The Wall is the first solo exhibition by Harlow Art Trust’s 10th Sculpture Town Artist In Residence, Irina Prentice. Her work often begins with a particular place, using its materials, structures and histories as a starting point for her sculpture. In Harlow, this has led her to the town’s New Town history, its walls and bricks, and the people who built it. Taking them apart and rebuilding them, she explores the relationship between individual elements and the larger structures they form, and what materials can tell us about a place as it changes. How might sculpture respond? Architecture Installation Sculpture
