About event

Florian de Brün photographs the world's largest collection on the Bauhaus. For the first time, the Bauhaus Archive / Museum of Design is showing a selection of new photographs. About Florian de Brün photographs the world's largest collection on the Bauhaus. For the first time, the Bauhaus Archive / Museum of Design is showing a selection of these new photographs, thus offering a glimpse behind the scenes of the diverse holdings. All attention is paid to the objects themselves. This is made possible by a deliberate set of photographic rules: Things stand against a neutral background, bathed in uniform light, photographed from different perspectives. It is precisely through this staged naturalness that the stubbornness of things emerges – their elegance, their function, but also their shortcomings. Whether it's a Vampyr vacuum cleaner, throwing dolls or a sofa: the individuality of everyday objects, furniture, toys and works of art becomes visible, with all their traces of life and use.
