RSVPA workshop-performance reimagining traditional recipes through queer experience, live cooking and zine rewriting. About Queer Recipes Archive is a workshop-performance exploring who defines the “traditional” version of a dish and whose experiences its recipe leaves out. A reimagined version is performed and prepared live, tracing how its ingredients and techniques have changed through migration, labour, gender and power. To queer a recipe is to question its inherited instructions, letting our own bodies and appetites shape what the dish can become. Participants rewrite the recipe through their own memories and desires in a double-layered zine, with the original visible beneath a translucent page. They can contribute their version to a growing archive of queer experiences told through food. Sharing is optional. Open to adults aged 18+, especially queer and trans folks, and anyone interested in food’s social and cultural dimensions and possibilities for sensory storytelling. No cooking or writing experience is needed. All materials are provided, and participants take their rewritten zines home. Read more Toggle Multi-disciplinary Performance / Live Art
