Raw & Refined

Our forthcoming exhibition, titled 'Raw & Refined', will bring together contemporary makers exploring the dialogue between rawness and refinement. About Whether shaped to evoke weathering and decay or revealing the inherent character of their materials, the works featured in 'Raw & Refined' embrace the space between control and surrender, finding beauty in imperfection, resilience, and the expressive potential of material. Artists are united by this core faith in the material and the course it will take in the earth, making, and how it will withstand its life as a final piece. The maker's hand remains evident in form, indentations, and mark-making, yet the material's autonomy often prevails. We invite you to join us for the opening on Wednesday 4th November, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, in the gallery.
