About Bart Dewolf Remnants - of a long forgotten future November 14 – December 12, 2026 Vernissage - Saturday November 14 (4-7pm) EN With Remants , Bart brings together a selection of new works, coupled with pieces from his storied past. Machine parts rescued from the trash and overlooked treasures from antique shops, army surplus stores and even an aircraft recycling plant were all once home to the "treasures" that transform his surreal and often absurd visions into three dimensions. Hammer, nails, welding, wire, glue, blood (literally) and sweat are all required to create these 'things' made real. Police-state dragonflies, fast-food billboards, pre- (or post) historic birds and improvised hand grenades are just a few of the artifacts displayed, - like exhibits in an Anthropological institution from an alternate time. They hint at man's folly and nature's lack of sentimentality. They are Remnants - of a long forgotten future. The breadth of training and skills Bart Dewolf (1973, Brabant, Be) has acquired to this point, are too numerous and varied to list here. In 1998 he received a Master of Visual Arts, advertising and graphic design at st Lukas Brussels. In addition to traveling the world, solving problems and facilitating the creative endeavours of others, Bart has participated in numerous international exhibitions including Art au Vert at EXIT11, Belgium (2026), Pledges of Allegiance, Hors Norme, WITHDRAWN at Gallery Nostrum, Belgium (2025/26/26), La Zone, Castries Montpellier (2021), “kNOw HATE” multi-disciplinary tour Hasselt, Brussels, Torino, Milano (2018), “Free wireless-free refill” installation for CPDP, Halles de Schaerbeek, Brussels 20011, Mental Zirkus, Supamolly, Berlin (2006). The exhibition continues Friday, Saturday, Sunday 1-6pm until December 12th and by appointment.
