RSVPJoin BBA Gallery on Nov 13 for the opening of Rhys Himsworth's solo show "Menhir," featuring CNC-carved panels and sculptures made from shredded e-waste and resin that bridge digital technology and geological memory. About BBA Gallery is pleased to announce the opening reception of Menhir , a solo exhibition by Welsh artist Rhys Himsworth, opening on Friday, November 13, 2026. Spanning painting, sculpture, and digital fabrication, Himsworth’s practice investigates the nexus between geological extraction and technological manufacturing. Named after the prehistoric standing monoliths found across ancient landscapes, Menhir presents works constructed from shredded electronic waste—circuit boards, LCD screens, and hard drives—bound in resin and sculpted using multi-axis CNC milling machines. By treating computer numerical control carving as an act of geological excavation, Himsworth models tool-paths after natural stone veining and topography. As layers are cut away, sedimented strata of discarded consumer tech are exposed, generating speculative monoliths that function both as modern artifacts and as remnants of a future archaeology.
