About event

Join us for a stimulating day with internationally renowned artist Alice Kettle alongside some of the UK’s exceptional craftspeople. SDC Celebrates is the Society's annual in-person gathering of makers and those who appreciate Craft. This year's event promises to be an inspiring day dedicated to exploring meaningful COLLABORATION. Hear from our engaging speakers working in ceramics, wood and textiles, who bring diverse approaches and unique insights to collaborative working. From products to partnerships, communities to cross-pollination, discover how collaboration can create impact in powerful and unexpected ways. As with all SDC events, we aim to spark curiosity, encourage conversation, and deepen appreciation for materials and craft. In addition to artist talks, there will be live demonstrations and a craft showcase where you can mingle with other makers and Craft enthusiasists over coffee. Lunch, tea and coffee are included in the ticket price so advanced booking is essential for catering. If you're interested in joining the Society, this is also a great way to meet us! Spaces are limited, so don’t miss your chance to be part of this celebration of making.
