About For our next upcoming exhibition SECOND LIFE the collective of artists from London Museum will be exhibiting at cave Pimlico. In this exhibition, ten artists will be taking inspiration from cave’s motto “Re-absorption of Objects into the Fabric of Life”. Cave Pimlico is part of the Tachbrook Estate, built in the 1930’s as community social housing and occupies one of the ground floor units. Visitors to the gallery enter via a leafy courtyard and then through a vintage shop, piled with pre-loved treasures. For this show, artists Chantal Makar, Edward Welch, John Chase, Jordan Furze, Kirsty Kerr, Nikki Braunton, Noa Smith, Riva Boutylkova, Sam Rees, Shruti Chakraborty and Zofia Wyszomirska-Noga have drawn upon their existing art practice to exhibit pieces responding to the gallery as a repository of objects which have been reclaimed and hope to find a ‘Second Life’. Their works look at the theme in various ways; - Reuse and repurpose of items, including art made from found objects - Recycling - Developing and reframing concepts, ideas, or theories - Resurrection and rebirth - Finding new homes for existing things/ideas with themes of migration and diaspora Join us on Thursday 29th October for the opening party (as it’s Halloween, we’re inviting visitors to dress up spooky style if they’d like) or just pop by during our opening hours, say hi and enjoy the artwork!
