About event

Part of the Social Prescribing Hub, our friendship sessions run across Rushcliffe to support health, wellbeing and connections. Join Us for a Social Trip to the Theatre We’re inviting you to join us for a relaxed social outing to Nottingham Playhouse. This is a chance to enjoy a night out in good company, meet new people in a friendly setting, and experience a live performance together. You don’t need to know anyone beforehand - many people come along on their own, and you’ll be welcomed from the moment you arrive. As part of the Nottingham Playhouse Community Group, we’re able to offer £10 community tickets for selected shows. There are 10 spaces available, offered on a first come, first served basis. About the performance: Small Island is based on Andrea Levy’s award-winning novel, this epic story follows the Windrush generation and their experiences of identity, racism, love, and belonging in post-war Britain. A rich and powerful production exploring community and connection. For more information, please visit: Small Island - Nottingham Playhouse You don’t need any previous experience of going to the theatre - just come along, enjoy the atmosphere, and spend time with others in a supportive group. Staff from the Hub will be there to welcome everyone and help you feel comfortable throughout the outing. This session is for ages 18+ only. Please note that priority is given to Rushcliffe residents. Participants from outside the area are welcome, though an additional charge may apply. We want our sessions to be accessible to everyone. If cost is a barrier, please get in touch - we’re happy to support you to attend. Only one booking is permitted per person. Additional bookings may be cancelled to ensure fairness. All bookings are non-refundable. Follow us on Facebook: @RushcliffeSP or visit Social Prescribing Hub for updates.
