About event

SMALL WONDERS celebrates the great visual intensity and emotional charge of Alfred Cohen’s work, even in his smaller-scale paintings, drawings, and sculpture. About SMALL WONDERS celebrates the great visual intensity and emotional charge of Alfred Cohen’s work, even in the smaller-scale paintings, drawings, and sculpture (none previously seen in Norfolk) brought together for this 25th anniversary exhibition at the new museum in the artist’s beautiful studio. The exhibition includes landscapes, seascapes, interiors and figures, and represents all five decades of Cohen’s career. Also on show is our latest acquision, a brilliant bronze bust of Cohen's friend the double Ocar-winning actor Anthony Quinn. SMALL WONDERS complements the twenty other smaller pictures regularly on show in the Museum. As Cohen wrote: ‘Abundant energy and imagination can be found within the dimensions of a small canvas’.
