RSVPA multidisciplinary installation exploring values of care associated with the spirit of rural femininity, the project proposes a feminist-ecological perspective and takes as its starting point the image of an “anonymous” woman. About The woman is the artist Andreea Borțun’s grandmother, Floarea, who would have turned 100 in 2026. The installation brings together analogue film footage, shot on 8mm, that visually evokes rural identities from a disappearing southern landscape—people in markets and fairs, on village roads and in fields, all recorded during a transitional moment of the day, at dawn. Nature is represented through the musical compositions and geophysical infrasound recordings that form the sonic dimension of the installation: recordings of the living ground, captured in the courtyards of the houses where the artist’s grandmother lived, in the village of Piatra, Teleorman. These elements are complemented by a tactile exhibited object—a blouse worn by Floarea throughout her life, from the age of 30 to 90—and a time-based installation. Through this project, the artist invites audiences to immerse themselves sensorially in the world of southern rural Romania. Read more Toggle Audio / Sound Film / Video Installation
