Ellis King's debut London solo show, Spilt Milk, explores womanhood's private realities — frustration, grief, exhaustion — through intimate self-portraiture. About Ellis King presents Spilt Milk , her debut London solo exhibition, running 1 October – 5 November 2026 at SQFT:Space Gallery, Marylebone. The show follows King being awarded the Women In Art Prize 2025, with this exhibition forming part of the prize. Working in self-portraiture, King's practice centres on the experiences and emotional realities of womanhood — identity, vulnerability, motherhood, self-perception and the contradictions of everyday life. Spilt Milk brings together a new body of work exploring intimate moments of frustration, grief, exhaustion and introspection: the experiences that often happen privately and are rarely given sustained attention. Private view: Thursday 1 October, 6–9pm. Viewing by appointment throughout the exhibition. To arrange a visit, email sqftspacegallery@gmail.com . Read more Toggle Painting
