Through a collection of striking portraits, the exhibition explores the relationship between hair, identity, culture and self-expression, shining a light on the stories, creativity and individuality woven into Black hair. More than simply a form of personal style, Black hair carries generations of history, heritage and cultural expression. The Crown & Glory invites visitors to appreciate its beauty while reflecting on the deeper meanings and experiences connected to it. Hosted at Blackhorse Workshop Café in Walthamstow, The Crown & Glory welcomes visitors to experience the exhibition in an informal and accessible setting.
