The Gathering

A Solo Presentation by Kelly Sweeney About The Gathering comprises of 52 totemic sculptures with each piece representing a fusion of internal and external happenings for a particular week in the artist's life. The creation process was durational beginning on Spring Equinox spanning a full cycle of the spiritual year. Collectively the work observes the lunar calendar and key moments within the changing seasons witnessed by shared and individual values that connect us with the natural world. The ritual invites the viewer to participate in the gathering, taking a moment to engage with the present to experience a moment of collective stillness and personal reflection. All are welcome.
