RSVPVert is a one week long exhibition of new paintings of trees by three individual artists who are hosting free workshop events as part of the Big Draw Festival in the gallery space. About VERT: drawing slow motion explosions of dirt Phoebe Cope, Daisy Millner, Mary Millner Regent’s Park Gallery, London 26 October/1st November 2026 PRIVATE VIEW 27 October Tues 6-8:30 pm The theme of Forests brings together a selection of works by three artists who use nature as a means of expression and a space for experimentation. During the week there will be two free drawing workshops in the gallery as part of The Big Draw Festival. Daisy Millner is a visual artist living in London. Her imagined landscapes are a collage of events drawn from film, photographs and sketches from life, finding romance in the everyday. She uses a lot of red and blue, inspired by the ‘first look’ at nature as seen in medieval decorative arts. The pictures here evolved from drawing in Sherwood Forest with Mary Millner, where together they sketched oak trees as old as 800 and 1,100 years, marvelling at their presence today. Daisy is interested in their anthropomophic shapes and imagined a dance through the decades. Instagram daisymillner Phoebe Cope is an Irish painter living in the Scottish Borders. Her landscapes contain the full Earth story: drawing from the land through the seasons, she fuses memory and direct observation with literary sources to capture organic patterns; skilfully aligning eye, hand and heart. Through expressive technique, in painting drawing and sculpture, she celebrates the world's inherent beauty, passionately urging viewers to cherish and reimagine the diversity surrounding us. Instagram phoebecope_studio Mary Millner experiences Sherwood Forest as a magnetic attraction. Arguably the most famous ancient landscape in the world, Sherwood holds clues to the past, witnesses like the spectral Major Oak.On frequent trips to Sherwood and visits to the archives, including the library of Cecil Sharp House, Mary has drawn her own mythology and presents it now at Vert. Mary (and Etienne’s) model for a statue of Ada Lovelace will be loaned to Lord Byron’s Sherwood house Newstead Abbey in 2027.
