Vision

An intricate detail that serves as a portal into the central concept of the exhibition: an enigmatic and open-ended exploration of the true nature of vision. About Milan — Origma, the art space located at Via Corelli 34, presents VISION, a solo exhibition by artist Lucio Forte. The opening reception will take place on Thursday, October 23, from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM, and the exhibition will remain open by appointment through November 6. ​The show features a rich selection of over 60 works, ranging from small and medium formats to large-scale canvases and wooden panels, offering a comprehensive overview of Forte's artistic practice. The exhibition comprises: ​Drawings and mixed media on paper (predominantly A4 and A3 formats): works created with watercolor, India ink, and acrylic, characterized by sharp linework and immediate expressiveness; ​Large oil and mixed media paintings on canvas and board (with formats ranging from 90x80 cm up to 100x150 cm); ​Limited edition art prints: a numbered series on photographic paper (50x70 cm format) selected from a range of the artist's paintings and drawings. ​Thematically, the exhibition weaves together diverse worlds: the architecture of urban landscapes, the aesthetic of sci-fi and comics, graphic animal depictions in smaller formats, and evocative scenes drawn from cinema. ​VISION: The Hypnosis of the Gaze ​Lucio Forte’s VISION is triggered the moment we sense that someone else is experiencing a vision. Observing the precise detail of the iris, the viewer is captured and drawn into its rays, beginning to imagine what remains hidden: an extraordinary experience, a cosmic or internal turning point. Yet, that image is never fully revealed to us. It remains a pure idea, an open suggestion. ​Wandering through the shadowed realms of the unconscious stimulates and liberates the imagination: the less the artwork reveals, the more the viewer's mind is prompted to create.
