RSVPWinsor & Newton’s Global Art Mail Project Comes to New York with an Exhibition at Drawing Room, curated by ArtRabbit About Thousands of artists. One destination. New York, NY — Winsor & Newton presents Art Mail , a global watercolor project bringing artists together through the simple act of creating and mailing a postcard. This fall, approximately 250 selected works from around the world will come together at Drawing Room in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, for a New York exhibition curated by ArtRabbit. Art Mail invites everyone, from professional artists to first-time painters, to share their point of view through watercolor. Postcards submitted from around the world become part of an online gallery, with selected works presented internationally. A Global Exhibition with a New York Perspective The New York selection will give special attention to New York and North American submissions while reflecting the global scope of the project. Works will be considered across geography, subject matter, technique, visual relationships and individual voice, bringing established and emerging artists together with people experimenting with watercolor for the first time. From landscapes and everyday observations to abstraction and illustration, the exhibition will highlight the many ways artists use watercolor to tell a story. Presented together, the postcards offer a snapshot of how people across different places and backgrounds see the world around them, and how a small artwork can connect one person and place to another. Drawing Room is a natural home for Art Mail. Both are built on the same premise: that a small, low stakes artwork made by anyone can be worth showing, and that the people making them are more interesting together than apart. How to Be Part of Art Mail Art Mail is open worldwide through September 30, 2026. Artists can receive an Art Mail postcard pack with the purchase of eligible Winsor & Newton watercolor products at participating retailers or online, while supplies last. To enter, create an original artwork using Winsor & Newton watercolor products on the official postcard, register its unique code, and mail it to Art Mail. Postage is free. Drawing Room, a creative community, is hosting Art Mail stations at both of its locations, Midtown (247 W 30th St #9R, New York, NY 10001) and Williamsburg (101 N 10th St #206, Brooklyn, NY 11249), during Open Hours . Visitors can paint their own postcard on site and enter it into the global gallery. Drawing Room will also host a guided Art Mail evening on Wednesday, September 2 at 6:30pm at its Midtown location, where its teaching artists will offer watercolor demos. Free and open to the public.
