WRESTLE ROOM: Sir Peter Blake and a signed Kendo Nagasaki print, October

About Wrestle Room is a group exhibition celebrating the golden age of British wrestling, at Atom Gallery in Stoke Newington from 10 to 31 October 2026. Free entry. Bringing together more than twenty artists, the show is led by Sir Peter Blake, the godfather of British pop art and creator of the Sgt. Pepper's cover, exhibiting prints from his Wrestlers set. He's joined by musician and artist Luke Haines (The Auteurs), comedian and artist Phill Jupitus, and a strong line-up of urban and contemporary names including Heath Kane, Ryca, Dave Buonaguidi (Real Hackney Dave), Matt Small, Michelle Thompson and Shuby. Co-curated by Matt Littler and Mark Perronet, Wrestle Room set each artist a single brief: think outside the ring. The result is a riot of sequins, sweat and Saturday-afternoon theatre, the world of Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks, Mick McManus and Kendo Nagasaki reimagined across print, painting and mixed media. The exhibition also marks the release of a new limited-edition Kendo Nagasaki print, signed by the masked legend at a ceremony during the run (date to be confirmed). Luke Haines will perform his cult album 9½ Psychedelic Meditations on British Wrestling live at the gallery (dates TBC). All work will be for sale, in the gallery and online.
